Monday

My darling:

I got your one long pathetic letter today. After thinking it over I have decided to forgive you -- but you are on probation. Honestly, baby, your letter sounded so pathetic and I could just see you all worn out and rubbing alcohol on your pore sore feet.

This has been another rainy day and I am getting tired of it -- and told the Boy so today, too.

Billy Wood plans to leave tomorrow but hasn’t made up his mind definitely yet where he is going. He came out this afternoon and I am going by to get him when I mail this

Incidentally, Jack and Jim Tilton came out with Billy this afternoon. I guess that makes your heart beat faster --

I am glad to hear that you had lunch with Lester Kinny. He called me and asked if I wanted to go with him and I didn’t come because I didn’t want to break up your date with Pat’s brother. Bill and Pat have been so nice to me this summer and I hated to give them any trouble. If I hadn’t been coming up this week I would have gone ahead with him. He told me that he was going to run under me. Please don’t let me him.

I love you darling and am just waiting.

Always

Jimmy

P.S. I love you
